Annotation

During his long career that took him from riding the Finnish prog rock wave with Wigwam to heavy jazz rock heights of the 1990s, Pekka Pohjola tried his hand in many things. Sinfonia no. 1 was his only foray into the world of classical music. Inspired by Sibelius' 5th Symphony, Pohjola created this unforgettable piece of Nordic clssical together with the Avanti! Orchestra in 1989.
