Ariola Japan (Japanese label, rebranded from the entirety of BMG Japan in June 2009)
~ Label
Annotation
Ariola is a Japanese imprint launched in June 2009 as the successor to BMG JAPAN's domestic operations. The logo is derived from the worldwide Ariola label used by BMG from 1988-2008, but the Japanese imprint made many changes: the "ariola" text was moved outside the parallelogram, the text was made non-italic, and parallelogram was shrunk. This new Japanese-specific imprint replaced all BMG imprints used by Japanese artists, including the original Ariola label.
The Ariola (Japan) established in 2009 has no direct relationship with the Ariola (Germany) since 2009. (The music/artists and logo are mutually exclusive, i.e. completely different.)
Previously known as: BMG Japan
