Technical Notes on the Alternate Masters: Blue Note take numbers are sequential to the session [...] There is a very clumsy apparent splice during Take 4 of "Moment's Notice". During take 5a of "Moment's Notice", the tape abruptly runs out at the end. Kenny Drew's piano solo on "Blue Train" (Take 8) was edited into the master Take 9. For the Alternate Master Take 8 of "Blue Train", we carefully edited the piano solo back into its original spot to cut the lacquer, before returning it to the Take 9 master.
